Main goals here:

  • make things cheaper
  • make things faster (especially referendum_canceller track)
  • decrease spending maximums (in response to GRAND unit 10x)
  • increase prepare_period and confirm_period for the most consequential tracks
  • make tipping easier and faster
  • decrease max_deciding on all spending tracks
  • ignoring curves and fellowship parameters for now...

Looking forward to hearing feedback! Here's a google sheet overview of these suggestions compared to the live configuration and PR 6372.

Any alterations to the curves (which includes the decision_period) and deposits must include some clear analysis as to why they are safe and why the existing values are not fit for purpose.
