This PR makes a few minor cleanups to the
controlBuffercode with the aim of making it more readable.Summary of changes:

Using aclosedboolean and explicitly returningErrConnClosingmakes this explicit, instead of making the reader wonder what possible error values could be returned.trfChanfromatomic.Valuetoatomic.Pointerexecutemethod which had a single caller, and change the caller to work withexecuteAndPutdeferthe call tocc.Unlockcc.Unlockfrom each of the return pathsdeferperformance.
