I use my PC as a phone.
My PC is connected to my smartphone via Bluetooth.
The smartphone uses the pc mic and the pc speaker.
I use EasyEffects to cancel the echo. I avoid that my pc speaker feeds my pc mic.
I call someone with my smartphone, then talk to him with my pc.
After a delay, the lock screen is displayed.

The call is not closed, but there is no more echo cancellation.

After unlocking, echo cancellation is still there.

I doubt there is something that can be done about this on our side. EasyEffects is probably taking collateral damage from a bad interaction between the screen locker and PipeWire.
