Thanks for the application. But we usually ask teams to finish their first grant before they apply for another grant; see #1370, which was just approved four days ago. So, I'm closing the application, but I'm more than happy to reopen it later.
Dear @Noc2, These two projects do not conflict, and the development of our aband-parachain is also in progress. We have more developers doing aband-parachain work. |
This is a very good project, we hope to discuss the feasibility with you and get your support as soon as possible. |
The progress of our last grant is still in progress. But our development of the aband-parachain is in progress at the same time, and we hope to discuss this project soon. Our good idea needs to be approved by you, and we hope to complete the development task of this project as soon as possible. |
If the application of the previous grant affects the continued discussion of this project, I will feel very sorry. If necessary, I can only remove the second milestone of the previous grant, and then complete the first milestone as soon as possible. Because our development of this project is more urgent, the last grant only hopes to bring development convenience to the Polkadot community. We hope to determine the viability of this project within two weeks. |

Hi. It’s not about projects being in conflict with each other. It’s mostly for us to get an impression of the team and what they do. See our guidelines here: https://github.com/w3f/Grants-Program/blob/master/docs/faq.md#when-can-i-apply-for-a-follow-up-grant This is especially true for a team that applies for the first time. My recommendation would still be that you finish your initial grant before we discuss this application, especially since this application is missing a lot of technical details at the moment. |
The development cycle of the last grant was 7 weeks. If we follow the requirements, it means that we need to discuss this aband-parachain project after 7 weeks. |
Thank you very much for your understanding of our project. This project is a relatively complex project that requires the development of many functions, and indeed needs to be supplemented with technical details. We need to answer your questions during this time, and these need to be discussed and will take a lot of time. We do worry that these steps will affect our development schedule, so want to do it as soon as possible. |

Alternatively, we can terminate the other grant application and reopen this, but there is no guarantee that we will support this one. Keep in mind we support the development of open-source software that is somehow useful for our ecosystem and don't look at the business models or want to subsidies specific parachains directly. My recommendation would still be to finish the first grant and potentially also apply for the Substrate Builders Program with this project https://substrate.io/ecosystem/substrate-builders-program/ The builders program might be better suited for it anyway. |
Thank you for your suggestion. I first remove the second milestone of the previous grant, and complete the development of the first milestone within two weeks. Then try to apply for this grant, because this grant is more important to our team. |

Thanks again. I have made changes to the first grant. We finish its development in two weeks, and then continue to discuss this grant. |
