Hi there 👋
I am Viktor. I am a researcher who thinks a lot about how we, as humans, make sense of the world and how emerging AI systems can either support or disrupt that process. Right now, I am studying how misinformation can be amplified by AI and how it affects our ability to agree on what is real and true. My goal is to help build technology that strengthens trust and understanding rather than undermining it.
What I am working on
My current research looks at how language models can be manipulated for targeted disinformation campaigns and what kinds of safeguards are needed to protect public discourse. I am especially interested in the idea of epistemic security, which focuses on ensuring that people are able to think clearly and confidently in a world where information is increasingly machine-generated.
Where I come from
Before focusing on this space, I worked on a wide range of AI challenges:
Improving perception systems for self-driving cars
Reducing racial bias in facial detection models
Building responsible AI tools for lawyers and real-world decision makers
Those experiences taught me that artificial intelligence affects more than code and data. It affects people. That means responsibility and care need to be built into the technology from the start.
What motivates me
I believe technology can expand what humans are capable of, but only if we preserve the human perspective at the center. AI is becoming part of our shared understanding of the world. We need to make sure that understanding remains honest, fair, and resilient.
