`pkg install automount` hangs at post-install step

I run it from text-mode console. Other packages got installed without any problem.
I see the last post-install message Check /usr/local/bin/automount --help for available options. and then nothing, no prompt. I have to interrupt it (ctrl-C) and then kill it.
Also I notice /usr/local/bin/automount does not exist after that.

Check with latest 1.7.9 version.
