GLOBAL backdrop color not filling all the background

If I set the GLOBAL backdrop color in visual editor, the background color is applied to the outer div, but not to the body html tag. That causes the mails to have a border in various mail programs. I would apply that color automatically to both to make sure the background fills all the available space in the mail app of choice.

to solve this you can apply same color for both backdrop and canvas colors.

Thanks for the advice. When I do that, I need to give a background to all my sections. That looks good but unfortunately the nice canvas rounding stops working then.

In this example the canvas needs to be white to have the rounded edges and be set apart from the background. However the body receives no background-color styling but would need a gray background-color so the background is gray until the very ends of the email viewer tab of my email programs. Without the styling of the body a white border remains for the mail.

Here you can see the white border (with a red background instead of gray) in thunderbird.

try this.

• keep canvas background color same as as backdrop background color (#F5F5F5) - both should be the same - don't apply border radius on the canvas
• use a container which should hold all your email with background color white and apply border radius on the container - this might help.
