[Windows] JSON runtime error in Unpackaged app

Current behavior

After logging in, the unpackaged Windows app crashes with a JSON related runtime error. There are no other relevant logs. Doesn't happen with Packaged Windows app.

How to reproduce it (as minimally and precisely as possible)

1. Try logging in
2. Notice runtime error when homepage is loading
