Input overlay doesn't react to my inputs

Describe the bug
It's not showing what keys I am pressing. The thing is basically frozen.

To Reproduce
Steps to reproduce the behavior:

• Install the plugin
• Doesn't work :/

Expected behavior
It should color the background of the key when I'm pressing it

Additional context
I looked into the logs, i saw that "Wayland is not supported by libuiohook. Keyboard an mouse hook will not work.", it's the issue, right?
What should I do?

Wayland doesn't allow hooking into keyboard and mouse input. You would need to use X11 for it to work, see #243 and kwhat/libuiohook#100. Not much I can do about it.

I found a simple fix that is obvious, I'm surprised that I figured it out only now. You just have to force OBS to run in XWayland using env -u WAYLAND_DISPLAY obs, so the OBS will not see the Wayland server, so it will fallback to XWayland. @univrsal Make sure to include this fix in the FAQ or the Troubleshooting page or something.

@Molwi your code snippet didnt work for me. For now I could get it working with QT_QPA_PLATFORM=xcb GDK_BACKEND=x11 obs.

Yess! QT_QPA_PLATFORM=xcb GDK_BACKEND=x11 obs works on Debian 13 with Gnome + Wayland. Only arrow keys are not registered.
