Bug summary

The new "Discard Changes"-alert is always shown if there is a Rich Text Editor on the content node. I tried this with both Tiny and TipTap. Removing the rich text editor from the node solves the issue.

Steps to reproduce

• Add a RTE (TipTap or Tiny) to a document type
• Open the a content node of that type in the Content-section - do nothing
• Navigate to another item in tree and notice that the discard changes-question shows.

Hi @enkelmedia, thanks for reporting this a really annoying thing for the users, coming from a feature for the users.

This has been fixed in this case:
#17692

Our Discard Changes detection is not action based but data based, which is why this could happen. So very interesting to see if this security just brings more annoyance in the future or if it is nice that all change are detected. :-)

@nhudinh0309 Can I ask what type of content do you have inside the RTE?

I am able to reproduce the issue with a Block that is configured with "Display Inline". But I'm curious if there is anything else that may be triggering an unsaved changes prompt.

@leekelleher In 16.4.0-rc, the 'Discard Changes' alert always appears for RTE, regardless of the content type. I believe this is because this field is automatically added to the content value.

In 17.1.0-rc, I can confirm that the issue only occurs when the RTE contains an inline block.
