🚀 About Me

I’m a Engineer at Born (Berlin)—the team behind Pengu, an AI-powered virtual pet created to bring people together. Born just raised $15M in Series A funding to expand its social AI companion offerings. (techcrunch.com)

Born’s vision pushes beyond lonely, one-on-one chatbot models. Instead, it builds AI companions that foster shared experiences, deepen real-world connections, and grow over time.

I contribute to building, scaling, and evolving the backend systems that power these AI experiences—working cross-functionally to deliver engaging, reliable, and meaningful user features.

🌟 About Born & Pengu

  • Pengu is a virtual pet app that encourages shared ownership—you and someone else can co‑care for your AI companion.
  • Born has 15M+ users globally and secured $15M Series A, bringing total funding to $25M from investors like Accel and Tencent.
  • Upcoming efforts include launching new AI characters, an office in New York focused on marketing & AI research, and an additional social AI product aimed at younger audiences (16–21).
  • The goal: create AI companions that feel like real friends—remembering past interactions, growing with users, and integrating with social content like TikTok and IG.
