How to Enable Individual Trakt Accounts to Sync with Individual Plex Accounts Using rg9400's Fork

So i have trakttv.bundle plugin (which has been updated a few times since the original plugin got "deprecated", i'm using @rg9400 8/18/22 commit) alongside kitana to correctly two-way sync all my data between trakt to plex and back. This continues to work perfectly as of March-2024 so i have had no reason to switch or use anything else (though i know there's now other alternatives like PlexTraktSync container native on Unraid docker, recently found iamkroot's Trakt-Scrobbler which looks to be updated 11 hours ago which i would take as a positive of working etc.)

While my old-yet-functional Trakt plugin from 8/18/22 is syncing perfectly for me (as the owner of the Plex server), I was looking to see how to have my friends setup Trakt and be able to sync their own trakt accounts to their own plex accounts which have access to my library. I am using the trakt-for-plex.github.io website to create new users and link their Plex (via the 4-digit authentication on plex.tv/link) + trakt (via the 6 digit trakt API code) together, which then correctly show up in Kitana.

What I can't figure out is how to get them correctly sync'ing - i'm getting the error message below when i try to run a full sync on the friend's accounts under kitana. Any idea what settings i may need to change in the trakttv.bundle plugin to get this working? I briefly looked through the prior historical issues for "multiple user" and it seems supported but many of those threads are from 2014-2016. If i click the gear icon on the below image, i do have "Global Filter - Users (comma separated)" set to my main username. I don't want other people's viewing history syncing to my own trakt/plex account so i haven't change that yet.

I set up a new computer and lost my old settings. traktv bundle was working fine but now I get to fix it. I have tried every bundle that it is out there without any help. I think the main problem is that it doesn't sync with plex and it gets the auth token. Can you help me? Since it is a dead threat.

Trakt authentication no longer works. Someone needs to update/maintain this project or fork it and add the fixes. As this project has basically been abandoned by its devs.

I am willing to try and help fix it, but I cannot figure out why it is broken in my instance either now. I tried swapping to my own app client IDs and secrets but still get a 403 error code for some reason. I can get a token by using the client id and secret already set in this app's code through postman, so no real clue what broke.

I'm not sure what was going on, but my plugin just started working all of a sudden today via the pin system without any changes. I do not use the configuration tool, and I am not sure how to fix that, but it has no relation to the authorization within the plugin menu itself.

Place on the folder trakttv.bundle
Open Plex Media Server
Get the pin and link with plug-in
It doesn't work afterwards.
Any ideas?

Impossible to say without logs. I am using my forked version, just clean installed it due to struggling with it yesterday. It wasn't working yesterday either for me due to 403 Invalid API or Unsupported App errors, but today seems like it just suddenly started working without any changes. I can't really comment on a lot of the different errors that could be occurring because the plugin is huge and built like a house of cards, but at least the oAuth workflow is still functional (and after that scrobbling seems to work).

I can send you my logs and to take a look if you ever have time. Plug in was working but after I formatted the driver and tried clean installation it doesn't work for months now. I don't know if it means anything, but I was using @rg9400's fork for a very long time with no issue. But then when Plex forced the x64 version the plugin stopped working.

The configurator will be fixed once my PR approved and merged into the main branch. So the https://trakt-for-plex.github.io/configuration page is broken while it's not happening. However if you clone the repo and build my branch locally, then it will work for you.

@rg9400 already approved my PR on their scrobbler repo, so that is already fixed in their main branch. If you update your local scrobbler plugin with their latest, then that will work fine as well.

I downloaded the latest one register the plug in (to be honest now it doesn't show on plext tv like api like it used to.
Tried to check if it working but it dones't scrobble.

While the the other PR is pending and the original configurator page is broken, I've set up a webpage with the fixed version. So, you can use it here:

First, you need to update the scrobbler plugin on your plex server.
Then you need to reauthenticate the user with this configurator for Plex and for Trakt as well if you did a password reset.

I did what you told me.

-I copied to Plex\Plex Media Server\Resources\Plug-ins-4e8b05daf the Trakttv.bundle (Downloaded from https://github.com/rg9400/Plex-Trakt-Scrobbler it says that it was updated 2 days ago)
-Then I restart plex media server
-Went to settings -> plugins
-Clicked on traktv settings and Authentication PIN (visit https://trakt.tv/pin/478)
-Allow trakt (for Plex) to use your account? and clicked on yes
-Then i went to reauthenticate the user with this configurator for Plex and I got Account Linked
But I get a "Uknown error" when i click on connect

Also when i check on my traktv the connected apps or your apis apps it is empty.
