[Request] A command that can control the length and width of the output image

The script runs perfectly, I can combine several images to one texture map. May I ask for a function that allows us to define the length and width of the output image, for example, 1024*2048.

Hmm, how'd you imagine this working? Sort of a "try to tile within these dimensions"?

So if your tiled images overflow (cannot fit within one or more of the 'maximums' that you set), they could simply be cropped off. Or the entire thing scaled down to fit (losing some detail).
And if your tiled images do not fill out the space, you'd leave blank space.

Are the pixel sizes themselves important, or is more the aspect ratio?

It happens in some games that require you to have a texture size that is power of 2, such as 1024, 2048, 4096. It is true that I can use 3d model software ( such as Blender) to do this process, but it would be better if your output is already fitting this rule. To fit it, never will I crop, I just scale down the texture sheet a bit, or stretch it to fit.

Ah yes, the fun of power-of-two textures. Makes sense.

The way it currently packs doesn't lend itself to "try to pack within these dimensions". It does try to keep things square by prioritising packing textures down or right based on whichever is smaller.

While avoiding cropping I think the simplest solution would be to pack, look for the closest (greater or equal) power-of-two size for width and height and pad out the image with blank space to make it meet that. That wouldn't be too hard to put together as a simple script plus something like ImageMagick.

Either way, once I've got some time I'll consider adding this logic as an option ('pad to nearest power of two').

Thanks for that, if it is added then it would be great. You may also leave the user to choose a specific power of 2 texture size, coz sometimes reducing texture resolution improves performance a lot.
