Unable to connect my Corne keyboard

Hello,

I am unable to connect my corne keyboard, when I click authorize keyboard, I can find my keyboard in the list, but clicking it doesn't do anything.

I use Linux ( void linux ) . Do I need to some configuration to allow traffic, I don't know well but could it be selinux related?

Hi,

I had the same issue with the Chilkey nd104. I investigate some time and found a solution for that. The issue is, that linux has restrictive permissions on usb devices and you must allow this for more user.

1. Open a terminal.
2. One of the given devices in /dev/hidraw* must be your keyboard.
3. Disconnect your keyboard and execute ls -l /dev/hidraw*.
4. Connect your keyboard and execute ls -l /dev/hidraw* again.
5. The new device(s) in the list bust be your keyboard.
6. Execute sudo chmod a+rw /dev/hidrawX (X the number of your keyboard-device) to add read and write permissions to the keyboard for every user.
7. Now VIA should work.

The Permissions are important, because VIA needs write permissions to change configs or firmware.

This solution is temporary, after a reboot or reconnect, the permissions will be reset.

If you want permanently Permissions, you should investigate more into udev rules. (see #330)
