Reset the state of the search bar on opening a new app

I'm having an issue where on searching for an app with glide typing makes it that the entire name of the app is searched for in the beginning and on minimizing or closing the app takes me to the launcher with the entire name written and on deleting any content from the search bar makes it so that the app is opened again.

I can provide with screenshots if not reproducible.

Sorry, the application seems to have glitched and not have reset when I tried to close an application and it was for only one instance.
I'll be closing this issue.
