Compact formatting setting

It would be great if there was a setting to use compact formatting for Markdown tables.

This is useful for large tables with many columns, where spaces show only few columns on the screen before line wrapped or left the screen.

Even with compact formatting, the extension's other features like navigating to or creating the next field using Tab are still useful.
