Latex rules modification

First of all, Great job!!!
I've some comments on some of the rules

1. Concerning [sh:c:noin] I agree that from \cite should be avoided, but in the case that we are using Excerpt from \citet{} it should be ok. As in : We used the data from Halle et al. (2020)

2. Concerning [sh:c:mulp] I agree but in considers the use of acronyms as a quote so I get a warning in a sentence like : \gls{ESA} has plans to conquer the moon \cite{blat_reo_2020}

3. Concerning [sh:capperiod], it didn't recognise the sentence for the period from 2005 to 2015 as valid

4. Concerning [sh:011]. I'm not sur the use of i.e. : or e.g. are incorrect? as in : [...] water reservoirs i.e.: ice, snow, soil moisture

1. The rule should be changed so that the next character after \cite is not a t
2. I cannot reproduce the problem with the example you give. Could you provide a minimum working example and what the expected result should be?
3. I don't understand your comment. Again, could you provide a minimum working example?
4. The rule should be modified into (i\.e\.|e\.g\.)[^\\,:;]

I agree with your proposal for 1 and 4
2. I guess you didn't test the rule with the glossaries of use acronyms . Here an example from my phd:
Antarctica mass change shows clear regional differences between \gls{eais},\gls{wais}, and \gls{ap} \citep{schroder_four_2019}

3. I guess the rule ask for a period in the caption.
   3.1 some caption do not need a period description
   \caption{Examples of Leakage and Gibbs effect}

3.2 I use to write period like this:
\caption{Timeseries for blablable . Values correspond to the trends for the period 2003-2015}
or
\caption{Timeseries for blablable . Values correspond for the period from 2005 to 2015}

For point 2, I copy-pasted the sentence you provided and got no error related to rule mulp. (I got one for rule sh:d:001 because of the missing space, but that's unrelated.)

For point 3, it seems that the behavior you want is that captions do not end with a period, which is the opposite of what the rule stipulates. In this case, what you need is to ask TeXtidote to ignore it (using the --ignore command line parameter).

Incidentally, it's not just citet that wrongly gets complained about. I use citeauthor and citeyear and those also trigger warnings that you shouldn't use cite in a sentence.
