Stream Launch Delay #1051

So I don't know how to title this but it has nothing to do with the stream itself being delayed or laggy. Sometimes I forget to refresh the "followed live streams" page before clicking a stream and it unsurprisingly doesn't launch. I'll forget I did that, refresh and launch an actual live stream from someone else and go about my day generally leaving streamlink open on my computer. The next day, when that first choice does indeed go live, streamlink will launch mpv at that time. Having forgotten that I clicked that, it can be disorienting and I initially thought streamlink was launching streams without my input. This could be considered a feature though depending on how you look at it. |

Enable "Refresh Content" in the "GUI" settings menu. Attempting to open a stream that's offline due to the GUI page contents being outdated is your own problem. The GUI has an indicator at the top for how many instances of Streamlink are currently running. If you've set the "Retry delay" option in the "Streaming" settings menu to a value greater than 0, then Streamlink will retry launching the requested stream in a loop until it goes online. All you've described can easily be changed. |
