I was able to compile this branch from source and attempted to upload RTK_Everywhere.ino.bin to my RTK EVK, however the UI stays stuck on "uploading" and the firmware does not appear changed. I rebooted the device after 20 minutes of clicking to update, and it still reports version 2.3.

Well done on compiling from source! Few users are brave enough to do that.

For now, please use the GUI Method to update.

Please be careful which branch you compile. release_candidate contains many changes, often breaking changes, and is not guaranteed to work. For safety, I'd recommend starting from main, add the icon fix, and compile from there.

Thanks, I will try that.

I have previous software dev experience with ESP32, and do software full time for drones, and used to work at Trimble, so I've worked with this kind of stuff before. RTK is new to me.

I cherry picked your patch on top of main, and hit the same issue. Binary firmware update through the GUI method with bring-your-own .bin does not appear to work, or at least there is no evidence or info the update worked. Should I file a bug?
