- Why I did it To move the control of the netdevice’s operational status from SDK to SAI. SAI will be responsible for updating the operational status on moving the netdev’s admin status from DOWN to UP. - How I did it Configure the SAI profile with SAI_HOSTIF_OPER_STATUS_UPDATE_BY_APP - How to verify it Verify links go up and down correctly.

- Why I did it To move the control of the netdevice’s operational status from SDK to SAI. SAI will be responsible for updating the operational status on moving the netdev’s admin status from DOWN to UP. - How I did it Configure the SAI profile with SAI_HOSTIF_OPER_STATUS_UPDATE_BY_APP - How to verify it Verify links go up and down correctly.
