There are more specific types that can be used to better match the signature of querySelector. Take a look at these: https://github.com/bfred-it/select-dom/blob/master/index.d.ts
For example, selector can make use of HTMLElementTagNameMap and the return type is a plain Element
Which reminds me, I should also add document in the baseElement types
