The platform maintainer team is a new initiative we've come up with. As cibuildwheel broadens its support into wider reaches of the ecosystem, we thought the project would benefit from a bit more specific expertise. So we're very pleased to be bringing in this talented bunch :)

(I haven't added CODEOWNERS here, on reflection I wasn't sure how well it would work given that changes often touch the platform files that aren't really to do with the underlying platform. But happy to try it if you want @henryiii)

I don't think GraalPy would work since it's not in a separate file, but for Pyodide/iOS, CODEOWNERS should ensure that the relevant maintainer(s) get pinged for review if those files change. We'd have to do it manually if some other place was changed, but I think it's nice to at least have that and also records¹ the expectation. We can always remove it if we don't like it. :)
