[COSMIC a4] Unable to download any file using Firefox

Cannot download any file using pre-installed Firefox. To verify that a problem exists, try downloading random file (for example, an ISO from https://system76.com/cosmic/).

I'm unable to recreate this issue in COSMIC Epoch; files seem to be downloading fine. This would also more likely be an issue suited for one of the COSMIC repositories than the Firefox packaging repository.

What happens when you try to download a file?

@jacobgkau I am expecting a download confirmation dialog to appear. But nothing happens.

There's never a "download confirmation dialog" in Firefox by default. Firefox has a drop-down in the top right that shows your downloads:

Are the files you're trying to download present in that menu, and/or in your Downloads folder? (I'm trying to figure out if this is an issue with the actual download or just with feedback.)

@jacobgkau Please enable the Always ask where to save files setting in Firefox.

No, the files being downloaded don't appear in the Downloads folder.
