Description
When using the keyboard shortcut Super + Shift + (Up/Down) to move windows, the window sometimes moves to a new workspace even though no workspace-switch shortcut was used.
This issue is only observed on the external monitor in a dual-monitor setup. Performing the same window movement on the primary (laptop) display does not trigger the issue.
Workspaces are configured with a vertical orientation.
Expected Behavior
- Super + Shift + (Up/Down) should move the window only within the current workspace.
- The window should move to a different workspace only when the explicit workspace-move shortcut is used.
- Behavior should be consistent across all monitors.
Actual Behavior
- Repeatedly using Super + Shift + Down causes the window to move to a different workspace unintentionally.
- This happens only on the external monitor.
- The same key combination behaves correctly on the laptop/primary screen.
- The workspace switch occurs without invoking any workspace-switch or workspace-move shortcut.
Environment
- OS: Arch Linux
- Display setup: Laptop screen + external monitor
- Affected display: External monitor only
- Workspace orientation: Vertical
- Window movement shortcuts: Super + Shift + (Up/Down)
