Unable to pass Super key to apps or bind custom shortcuts with Super

So I tried installing "Cosmic" on Manjaro, and generally worked as expected. My primary goal though was hoping it wouldn't spend all of it's time intercepting my super key. For which it did even more than Gnome. I want shortcuts like super+c, super+, to work in intellij so I don't have to think about what computer I'm on. I also encountered an issue where I was able to remove super as the shortcut for launch and super+/ worked still, but it wouldn't let me record any new shortcuts like super+space, it wasn't seeing my keystrokes at all (add shortcut hit any combo showed no input). I'm ok with having to rebind shortcuts myself, they just seem to be getting intercepted in a way that I can't change. 1:1.0.6-1

This repository is for the System76 Keyboard Configurator app, which exists to configure the hardware of System76 Launch keyboards and the keyboards for System76 Open Firmware laptops. It has nothing to do with keyboard shortcut configuration in COSMIC.

You're probably looking for e.g. https://github.com/pop-os/cosmic-settings regarding the keyboard shortcut settings panel, or https://github.com/pop-os/cosmic-comp regarding input handling in COSMIC. Or https://github.com/pop-os/cosmic-epoch if this is more of a general feature request rather than a specific bug report.
