Description
Describe the bug
Using Fedora Asahi Remix, under the Accessibility Settings, toggling the Invert Colors can lock up the display prevent untoggling.
To Reproduce
Steps to reproduce the behavior:
- Assuming this bug is specific to Asahi (?), start by installing Fedora Asahi Remix
- Install as directed in the docs:
sudo dnf install @cosmic-desktop-environment - Log into the new environment and open the Settings
- Navigate to the "Accessibility" section
- Toggle "On" the "Inverted Colors" setting
Expected behavior
Either (1) the toggle is disabled if not supported on the system, (2) toggling "On" displays an error if enabling has failed, or (3) the setting to actually function as designed.
Screenshots
Imagine a completely black screen.
Desktop (please complete the following information):
- OS: Fedora Asahi Remix 42 on M1 Mac
Additional context
After I installed Cosmic on Fedora Asahi Remix on my Mac, I was able to successfully log in and was brought through the onboarding screens. When exploring the Accessibility Setting, I toggled the Invert Colors and the screen froze. The mouse didn't work and the screen stopped updating. I rebooted the system and logged in via KDE. From there, I tried various fixes including: (1) .config/cosmic folder deletion, (2) uninstall of the "@cosmic-desktop-environment" group, reboot, and reinstall, (3) attempting to launch cosmic-settings from kde to disable there. Logging in with Cosmic stays broken regardless of what I do. When I attempt to use cosmic, I get a black screen and nothing ever displays.
I have searched where I know to look and I do not see any option to manually disable nor can I find a cli command documented. Would love any guidance on a workaround as I really would like to use Cosmic. I don't need Inverted Colors, I was just interested in seeing the toggle - now I regret everything :D
