Feature Request: More granular wallpaper rotation frequency options #132
Description
Summary
The current wallpaper slideshow only offers a minimum rotation interval of 5 minutes via the UI.
This is too limiting for users who prefer faster transitions.
Requested
Allow users to set custom rotation intervals, including:
- 10 seconds
- 30 seconds
- 1 minute
- 5 minutes (current minimum)
- Custom input in seconds
Suggested UX
A text/number input field (in seconds) alongside the existing dropdown,
or replacing it entirely with a free input + preset shortcuts.
Workaround
Currently requires manually editing:
~/.config/cosmic/com.system76.CosmicBackground/v1/all
and setting rotation_frequency in seconds — which is not user-friendly.
