If I have my panel on the bottom or one of the sides of the screen, in my opinion it is somewhat irritating when the menu still opens at the top of the screen. It would there for be nice if you could move the app-library to the bottom, middle, right or left of the screen to match the setup of the dock and panel.
Alternatively it would be possible to have a setting, with which you can decide whether the app-library is in the middle, the top/bottom left/right/center of the screen.
