Reproduction steps

You can sort of reproduce this by enabling the Playback Speed plugin & setting the speed of any song to 2x in the app, but that alone is not the source of the problem as it also happens at normal 1x speed.

This issue is hard to reproduce, and I don't have it myself at the moment... but I've had many reports from people that do have the problem, as well as encountering this same bug when creating the Amuse pull request a while back.

  1. Enable the Amuse plugin
  2. Play a song
  3. Either use the 6K Labs Amuse widget and monitor for elapsed time freezes, or check either the API-Server and/or Amuse plugin's server routes to see if it is reporting the wrong time. If it is then you have the bug

Expected Behavior

The song progress/elapsed resets after song info changes, and updates accordingly during the song.

Actual Behavior

The elapsed time bar reported will stay at 0 seconds until pausing, manually scrubbing using the seek bar, or after the song changes, always keeping the time last seen before the next update.

Enabled plugins

The least ive seen enabled with this happening is Amuse, In-App Menu, Navigation, Performance Improvement [Beta]

Mine: navigation, adblocker, shortcuts, downloader, precise-volume, sponsorblock, video-toggle, bypass-age-restrictions,
taskbar-mediacontrol, in-app-menu, playback-speed, exponential-volume, blur-nav-bar, quality-changer,
album-color-theme, album-actions, synced-lyrics, api-server, tuna-obs, amuse, audio-compressor, skip-disliked-songs

Additional Information

Also try short <1min songs, since those might also report incorrect timings (sometimes?)
"At the start of the song it sets the current time value to a seemingly random amount and it just doesn't change"
