org.jabref.logic.push.PushToApplications#getApplicationByName is something useful.

At https://retorque.re/zotero-better-bibtex/citing/cayw/, texstudio is a normal paremter.

I envision ?application=xyz, e.g. ?application=lyx

All lower case!

If a tool cannot call the endpoint for oneself, one could use AutoHotkey (as discussed in the DevCall) -> https://tex.stackexchange.com/a/53630/9075
