Maybe the comment at #405 (comment) has been overlooked and deserves a dedicated issue. Distros are actively phasing out Qt 5 and it's only a matter of time until vidcutter will be dropped if it doesn't migrate to Qt 6 in time. For Gentoo that will happen on 2025-12-31, I'm unsure of others. Are you aware? Are there current plans to migrate to Qt 6? I imagine many users will be sad to see vidcutter go from distros.
