Missing documentation for retrieval

I followed the steps on the documentation but can't get retrieval to work.

Experimental Mode is enabled under advanced settings;
Azure OpenAI GPT 4o token is configured;
Retrieval is enabled under tools;

I noticed the embedding model is grayed out, how does Jan know to use text-embedding-3-large (the OpenAI settings only has an endpoint for chatcompletions) or what am I missing?

Same here tested with many models still doesn't see the pdf

same here. I tried to upload a pdf on mistral, but the model does not see the pdf. (which I can clearly see in the chat)

Same issue here, I enabled Experimental Mode, and selected Mistral / pixtral-large-latest in the cloud.
The attachment icon appears on the chat text area, I can drag-and-drop a PDF file, I see it getting attached in the chat but the model does not see it. I tried a small PDF file (less than 200kB) to make sure this was not a size issue.
The tools tab remains grayed out and says "Not supported for this model".

retrieval is not working well on v0.5.17 and we decided to switched it off for 01 version (0.5.18)
we're refactoring this area and it will definitely be released on v0.5.19 (end of June)
