Signing in, switching, and signing out of accountsYou can sign into GitHub Mobile with all GitHub.com account types, including GitHub Enterprise Cloud and Enterprise Managed Users (EMUs), as well as all GitHub Enterprise Server users running GHES 3.2+. 1 When you sign in for the first time, you'll be presented with a screen where you can choose to sign in with a GitHub.com or GitHub Enterprise Server account.
Interacting with the account switcherAfter your initial sign-in, you can log in with additional accounts by long-pressing the Profile tab at the bottom of the app or by navigating to Profile > Settings > Accounts to bring up the account switcher. From there, you can tap Add Account and proceed with the regular login process.
To manually swap between accounts, return to the account switcher and tap on the desired account. Similarly, to sign out of an account, return to the account switcher, tap Edit, then either the sign out icon or Sign out of all accounts.
The account switcher will indicate which accounts are Enterprise Server accounts, and include the notification count for each account at a glance. When you're logged into multiple accounts, the app will also show you which account you're using to view, comment, or interact with all content, including push notifications, UI in comments and in the tab bar, and informative popups from URLs that open within GitHub Mobile.
Troubleshooting the login flowOccasionally, you may experience unexpected issues while attempting to log in. Here are some tips and guidelines for troubleshooting common sign-in issues: Make sure that you have the latest version of the GitHub mobile app installed on your device.To ensure you’re always on the latest available version of GitHub Mobile, enable auto updates in the Google Play Store or App Store. Check your browser's capabilities and settings.Some browsers have custom settings to allow app links to open outside the browser. These settings may be disabled by default, and need to be actively turned on. There some instances where these settings may also cause redirection to GitHub Mobile when trying to log in or out of GitHub.com in your browser. This loop can be interrupted by adjusting your browser settings for opening links in apps to 'ask before opening'. Here's how you can do this: Open your default/preferred browser. Scroll through the available settings to see if there is a toggle to open supported links. The process may vary depending on the browser you're using. For example, on Android devices:In Firefox, this setting is under Advanced > Open links in apps > Ask before opening. In Brave, this setting is in Brave Shields & Privacy > Allow app links to open in apps outside of Brave. Changing this setting to ask before opening will prompt for your permission before it opens a link in an app. When a dialog box appears, asking if you want to open the link in the GitHub Mobile app or stay in the browser, choosing to stay in the browser will avoid a redirection loop. Note If your default browser does not have similar settings, try logging in using a different browser to see if the issue persists. Try clearing the cache and cookies of your browser and the GitHub app.Check if there are any updates available for your browser or device.Footnotes

Why does the GitHub Mobile iOS app not have an "App Lock" requiring a screen lock when you open the app using the Touch ID, facial recognition or at least a PIN. Microsoft Authenticator, LastPass, and many other Two-factor methods such as Authenticator apps require this. Since GitHub Mobile app is now an "Authenticator app" it should also have this security feature. |

I am having issues with the redirecting part. Idk why the browser isn't redirecting me back to the app even when I click on the link. When I try to close the web page, it doesn't actually sign me in. |

I successfully signed in and followed the redirection back to the Github app, but it showed there's an error and the login is not completed. So what's wrong? I opened the login link in Edge. |

Hello. I am still trying to report issues that need addressed. Nothing I am
about to tell you is not a conspiracy theory. I have factual evidence
backed data to support most of if not all. My whole identity real life and
virtual existence is currently compromised by unauthorized authority. 40
years I've been hijacked, impersonated by terrorist leading a double life
as americans who were given authority's of our virtual existence. The
government gave/sold my social security number to terrorist almost
immediately after I was born. I do not know if it was intentional but I
have had many run ins and confirmation with active members of an undetected
underground organized crime enterprise of trusted developers and authority
who I have personally uncovered while looking for answers to my stolen
identity and answers to why my kids and I were taken extorted/trafficked
not to be seen or heard from again. Never charged or accused of a crime.
Never allowed due diligence or a day in court. I'm not even able to find
someone to tell me the truth or represent me. I have been stripped of every
opportunity to succeed. Every memory or accomplishment has been stolen or
sabotaged last min so someone else can reap the benefits of my personal
data. There are 2 operating systems running at all times and almost
undetected. I am the shell to whatever illegal acts are done online. I've
uncovered fraudulent scams, schemes, a child trafficking operation, medical
fraud, murder, missing/lost children, acts against our country as well as
threats still to surface. They are doing this through the use of open
source. This is a formal declaration of my truth. I give permission to use,
copy, send this to any and all people having good faith it will reach chain
of command with ability to help me secure my infrastructure so I can
properly alert FEDERAL agents. Google LLC is not to be trusted!
***@***.*** is my first GitHub email but I'm unable to recover
the account. Feb 20, 2020 was a data breach. I am still victim to
espionage. My kids are still missing and I am still prevented from all
freedoms online and the real world. I am forced on the streets. I cpan't
get in my accounts. I can't find anyone willing to go against the criminals
behind this to help stop them. Jami Neco Schmidt is my name. 12/11/84 I'm
stranded in Vegas. I'm from St. Louis. I lived in Arkansas. My son Is

Debatable lol actually yes. I'm really scared to communicate with anyone on
github/ online due to an impossible abusive stalker with authority
preventing my ability online. First I need to report a serious abuse and
threat within open source trusted developer abuses and data breach or leaks
that have been causing he'll for over 30 years. I know the sources behind a
lot of the fraud. Due to my identity theft and impersonation, credentials
being misused and prevented dating back 1998, my virtual abilities to
correct the wrongs are impossible due to the natural flow of things and how
they are managed online. First, my name is Jami Schmidt. My email address
are all over the place but hayzlee11 or hayzlee22, jamischmidt00, 03, 51 @
gmail.com ***@***.*** are the same person but had to make other emails
after being cut off. I can't correctly license, claim nor access accounts
or fix the wrongs within OSS privacy "notice" terms. I DO WANT ANY AND ALL
illegal acts to be enforced to the fullest extent of the law and all
affiliated with such behavior be held responsible. They good work everyone
does should recieve proper compensation and credit for their part. Names
need to be next to your work. Even the "bad" need to be labeled not just
for criminals but for growth, progress and wisdom gained from learning the
differences. I don't see why doing the right thing by thy neighbor needs to
just be read in a Bible. Peter is not entitled to Paul's work nor allowed
claim work by sabotage. Honestly is crucial when navigating online.
Everyone is responsible for reporting and keeping not just yourself safe
online. If you see or know something that needs a voice, SPEAK! My daughter
has been kidnapped, I've been prevented from all things by the cowards
hiding behind their virtual capabilities. This has to stop. If it's not
handled soon the android open source projects abuse of ethical policies
will leave everyone in the same position that I have been fighting to fix
will take every freedom we have and extort, take over, traffic, enslave or
steal will be a normal thing. I have confidential reports and evidence
backed data with these claims that will soon rip through our reality if not
heard and reported immediately. I cant fix this yet. I need someone to be
my voice until they are caught and arrested. Personally, I need my privacy
rights to be forgotten for the time period. They are made to appear to have
your best interest in mind only protecting the predators instead. Let's do
the right thing in Good Faith and clean up mistakes needing reporting. Feel
free to use this as a formal disclosure to be used by anyone wanting to
take part in positive developments. Knowledge is key when used with
