Sponsorship request stuck in "Pending" state

I first submitted a request for my Sponsorship account several months ago, but it never got approved. I forgot about it for a while, then came back and realized the account was still not approved and I thought something had gone wrong, so I canceled the request and submitted it again. Unfortunately, it's still not approved after waiting another couple of months.

In my dashboard, the only information I see is:

Your profile isn't live yet. We need more information to continue.

Submit application to GitHub staff for approval
You've submitted your profile for approval! Your profile will go live as soon as it's approved by a staff member.

I believe I've filled out all the required information, so I don't know what else is missing from my application. It seems like there might have been a bug that caused my application to get lost in the system.

Check for Errors: Ensure that all the information you provided in your sponsorship request is accurate and complete. Any missing or incorrect information could lead to delays or rejections. Review your application and make any necessary corrections before resubmitting it, if applicable

Sorry to hear about the delay in getting your Sponsors profile approved. It appears you are using Open Source Collective as a fiscal host. We checked your Open Collective profile and don't see an approved fiscal host. Please try reaching out to Open Collective to have the information updated on their website to reflect your fiscal host or set up a Stripe Connect account instead. Once either of those steps are completed please reply here and we will approve your Sponsors profile.

Got it, I guess that makes sense. But this info should really be communicated proactively. I never received any email communications about missing or incorrect info, and everything I see in my dashboard makes it look like I've filled out all the info correctly and I'm simply waiting on verification from the GitHub staff.

Hi Hugo: According to the Github dashboard my sponsor status is still pending and looking at my account I do not have a sponsor button. Perhaps you've confused me with someone else? I do have a Patreon link, but that's different than a sponsor button. We recently submitted our GitHub Sponsors profile for approval, but it’s been stuck in the “Pending” state for some time.

We just wanted to check if there’s anything else you need from our side to move forward with the approval, or if the process is still ongoing.

Completed steps

• Fill out your profile details
• Confirm your GitHub two-factor authentication for your account.
• Fill out bank, identity, and tax information.
• Create a Stripe Connect account
• Complete the required documentation
• Add payout details to Stripe
• Complete tax forms
