Similar thing happened to me. I contacted support and they solved the issue in 10 minutes. They say sometimes their abuse detecting systems highlight accounts that need to be manually reviewed. Other than that, it is not clear why.

Ask the support. If you believe you haven't done anything wrong then you should be able to recover it.
This is the only solution but it might take a while until you get a response

What worked for me: I was part of a GitHub organization, which paid for all of their members.
I asked the admin of that organization to create a ticket in order to unlock my account.
Maybe it was just luck, but my account was unlocked 2 days after that.

I have the suspicion, that a GitHub-Pro subscription might improve the reaction time for support tickets,
but that is just a speculation of mine.

For me, as a consequence of all of this, I'm using different platforms and servers as a backup.

Chances are low they do something. I was provoked into what they call "bulling", because they don't watch for environment sanity at all (zero attention to repo vandalizing, discussion derailing etc.), got "flagged", filed an appeal (raised a ticket). A few months have passed since, I believe, March? And not a single F was given. All dead like after the nuclear war like there's no support at all. IDK, maybe the tickets are "invisible", too. But then... Well, you are totally out of luck with this GH crap once you got flagged, be it deserved or on accident. It's easier to create a new account. I was forced to do exactly this to be able to file reports for some projects. But in general I will never ever entrust my code to these rascals and will advise everyone to do exactly this and to stay away from it.

unable to use copilot on vscode and delete my organization because my account has been flagged by mistake

Hello, I'am currently facing some issues with deleting the organization "Omar-Business-intelligence-repos" which I planned to use for grouping my personal github repos (not for an actual organization).
Little did I know that this was a very bad idea and there were smarter ways to do grouping, hence I tried to delete this organization but wasn't able to do it.
Because my account has been flagged by mistake I tried to contact customer support about this but I couldn't because my subscription on github is free and I believe this issue is interfering with my use of github copilot on vscode.
I would appreciate it if I can get a response about this issue as soon as possible.
