User site <username>.github.io returns 404 even after correct setup

My Pages site (https://anhnnp.github.io) returns 404.

Repo: https://github.com/anhnnp/anhnnp.github.io

• Repo is public
• index.html is at root
• Pages source: main / (root)
• Actions build succeeded
• No custom domain or CNAME file

What else could cause this issue? Thank you!

Check this my friend:

• Pages is set to “GitHub Actions” but your workflow isn’t publishing files.
• Branch/name/case issues (less likely here)
  • User sites must be named exactly username.github.io, published from the selected source, and the start file must be exactly index.html (lowercase).

Hi,
I’ve double checked everything and it all seems correct.
My repository is named exactly anhnnp.github.io, and it’s under the correct owner (anhnnp).
The GitHub Action workflow successfully builds, and the generated index.html file exists in the repository.

The Pages source is set to GitHub Actions, and the workflow run completes without any errors.

However, the site still isn’t published or accessible.
I’m wondering could my account or repository be flagged or restricted from publishing Pages for some reason?

I used to have the same repo name before, and GitHub Pages worked fine at that time. Later I deleted that repo and recreated it under the same name.
Could this have caused any background flag or configuration issue on GitHub’s side preventing the new site from being published?

Check Settings → Environments → github-pages. If environment protection rules restrict which branch can deploy, update it to allow main.

I checked the Settings → Environments → github-pages, and everything looked correct. However, I did change one option there, and I’m not sure if that was the reason or maybe GitHub Pages just needed a short delay before it went live.

After updating it, the page appeared a few minutes later. I really appreciate your help in clearing up my questions!

Also, I updated this setting:
Actions → General → Workflow permissions → Read and write permissions
Now, workflows have read and write access to the repository for all scopes.
