Confused whether or not I'm accepted into the Github Education benefit program #178380
-
Hi everyone,I applied to the github benefit program a while ago. I had contacted support for some assistance due to the process not accepting me (not sure if it was related to me taking poor pictures or not), but after my first application got rejected, I reached out to support and my second application was apparently "approved", however, when I go into settings and then billing & licensing under "education benefits", it says the application was revoked approximately 27 days ago. At the top, it says "You have a current student coupon applied.". Not sure if this means I have access to all the benefits or not. On my profile though, it says I have github pro, and under the copilot tab, it says I have an active copilot pro subscription ("GitHub Copilot Pro is active for your account"). However, when I enter normal Copilot (the website), it says on the bottom left corner of my screen that "copilot free" is active. Is this a bug? |

Check on your account settings education benefits tab for more details. If it's not approved yet check the emails on your account that are set correctly or not. You have to set the student email address to public and try to refill the form again. You will get approval within 20 minutes and will take 72 hours to claim the benefits. After you get the benefits there is a link to claim github copilot pro. Click that to activate your github copilot pro license |

@ThePhoenix56, “Revoked” means that you were initially approved, but for some reason (usually when fraudulent documentation has been submitted or GitHub's terms of service have been violated) the request has been revoked.
However, if you can still use Copilot premium models, it means that your
Copilot PROis active.
