| Hey, This happens because the repository was part of a fork network when it was deleted. Once the system flags that, it automatically locks the self-restore option. You did the right thing by contacting GitHub Support. They are the only ones who can manually restore it for you in this case. It can take a few days for them to reply, but you're in the right queue. They should be able to get it back for you. |

| Yes, you can usually recover a deleted GitHub repository, but with some conditions. You have 90 days to restore a deleted repository from your personal account. After 90 days, it is permanently deleted. How to Restore It: In the left sidebar, click Repositories. Click on Deleted repositories. Find the repository you want to recover and click Restore. Key Limitations: Forks: You cannot restore a deleted fork if the original (upstream) repository still exists. Name Availability: You can't restore a repository if you've already created a new repository with the same name. |
