| Hey! If you're trying to add an index.html file to your repository createimg.compress.html, first make sure you're signed into the right GitHub account — and that you have permission to edit the repo. If it's your own repo, you should have full access.

| If you're unable to edit your repo and only see the "create new repository" option, it likely means you're not signed in or don't have access to that repo. |

| Hi @passivecreative , It sounds like you’re not able to edit your existing repository because you’re either not inside your own repository or not signed in with the correct account that owns it. Here’s how you can fix it and add your index.html file properly: Log in to GitHub with the account that owns the repository. Go to your repository: Once inside your repo, click “Add file” → “Upload files” or “Create new file.” If you click “Create new file,” type index.html as the filename, paste your homepage code, then click “Commit changes.” This will add the file directly to your repository. If you’re seeing “Create a new repository” instead, it means: You might not be in your repository (you’re on the GitHub home screen instead). Or the repository belongs to another user/organization, and you don’t have write access. In that case: Check your permissions — you can only edit a repo if you’re the owner or have collaborator rights. If it’s someone else’s repo, fork it using the “Fork” button, then add your file in your fork. |
