[BUG] Releases doesn't appear in my feed since several weeks now

Releases are the only reason I check my feed, to know when I have to update my softwares that don't appear in package managers. Not seeing them is a real problem.
Yesterday, I tried to check only Releases, and they appeared so I could catch up a bit. Sadly, if I do it now it's purely empty

Yes, I have the same problem. I really love this feature, but 95 % of the time, the feed doesn't show any release. I have starred 1000+ projects.

I got a response from my support ticket I have filed. GitHub is aware of this bug, and they've forwarded it to the engineers. 🙏🏻

Any news, it is still present for me and perhaps worse now (i used to somehow get it back by clicking around and refreshing, but now it never works)

indeed. a previous technique used was to clear site data and refresh
it logged you out but generally worked. now it never does

note that checking the Explore tab on the mobile app also used to work, and even display different data from the home feed, but now they display the exact same thing (info outdated from weeks ago, no activity from starred repos, releases, followed users, ...)

As of 2 days ago, I have finally received the first release event in my feed in ages! I will keep monitoring it over the next few days to see if others are displayed as they are released.

Resharing my comment from another related issue here, since it's related:

👋 Hi there, Dustin from the Sunset product team here! Our team works on an adjacent product area but because the Feed is highly trafficked and used; although we aren't the Feed team per se, we have been working internally to see if there are parts of the logic or infrastructure that we can fix to help you all have a better experience.

You should be able to see the content from new releases so that is a major bug that I will flag back with the team. If I get any updates and we can push a fix to make sure that you're all seeing the right, relevant activity updates, I will circle back here and keep you all posted!

The issue is still present unfortunately...

Well, it looks like this bug has been partially fixed. It's been a few days since the releases started showing up, but it seems to be selective - I checked manually: the release for the repo was made a day ago, but it's not listed.

I'm not seeing releases in my feed, for about 20% of my starred items? What is going on?? The problem started for me around 3 days ago. Prior to this, I was seeing every new release in my feed, now I'm missing important releases all the time. Very annoying and buggy. Please look into this issue, Github.

i've been exclusively using https://github.com/orgs/community/discussions/144799#discussioncomment-11710244 for the past months, I can recommend it to you. Disable releases in the GitHub feed, so you check releases on the external site and the other events (stars, follows, ...) on github
