Description

Problem*

Part 1 of #8484

Summary*

Generates functions which take function arguments.

There are TODOs left for Part 2:

  • Actually call the functions pointers
  • Pass the function arguments on to callees if the parameters match
  • Ensure that we don't pass to ACIR functions pointers that cause an infinite recursion in inlining
  • Ability to pass functions returned by if-then-else etc.

Additional Context

Rewriting makes this exercise complicated, but hopefully it will give some extra work to defunctionalize.
