I'd prefer to do the LineageOS bumps by myself due to general supply-chain security concerns - it's difficult to impossible for me to verify that the fetched repo.lock files do indeed correspond to one specific snapshot of the LineageOS repositories at some point in time, since the LineageOS manifest doesn't include commit hashes like the GrapheneOS one.

My current go-to way was to do a new LOS snapshot approximately every 2 weeks, similar to upstream. I think I'd keep doing that, and make new snapshots whenever someone asks for them (and I'm running a new one as we speak).
