preview thumbnail for high res pics not generated

the preview-generator fails its service from a resolution of approx. 7000x4500 pixels.

this means that images with such a high resolution will not get a preview thumbnail.

is this a limit that cannot be increased or is there a setting that allows this?

If it fails there is something wrong in your config. Too little memory? Too small waiting time?

Giving the proper error log would help
