Where can I find the version of the running nextcloud-aio mastercontainer?

I know that the version is prominently displayed on the /containers page, but I want to read it out with an external tool (Argus) in order to check for updates. I couldn't find a way to authenticate for the Containers page automatically and I couldn't find documentation on an API endpoint to do this either.

Does anyone know a solution or should I open an issue for this?

Hi, I fear we don't expose the version currently. It is only available as part of the containers.twig file:

I saw you moved some stuff around in #7436 and #7437 and the AIO version is now somehow passed to the Nextcloud container? I took a quick look into the admin settings, but couldn't find it, should it be there somewhere?

Another idea I had was, if it could be incorporated into the /ocs/v2.php/apps/serverinfo/api/v1/info endpoint?

Hint: the version is available as environmental variable named NC_AIO_VERSION inside the Nextcloud container.
