I would like to use the 10.1-DSI-TOUCH-A Display in Landscape orientation.

https://www.waveshare.com/wiki/10.1-DSI-TOUCH-A

I tried to do the steps as in this commit: nerves-web-kiosk@8979bfa
The only difference in configuration from nerves_system_rpi5 is to use
the normal PREEMPT scheduler rather than PREEMPT_RT. This is a
historical decision. If PREEMPT_RT were to actually help the kiosk use
case, then changing it seems reasonable.

Linux 6.12 is coming soon. I have a report that Raspberry Pi cameras aren't working so I didn't push the release. The person who reported the issue will be at the Goatmire Elixir conference this week and I plan to debug with him to see what's happening. I don't know if I'll have time to give you constructive help. I don't have a Waveshare 10, but I'll make a pass on your work when I can a chance. Don't hesitate to send a reminder if I don't get back to you in two weeks as I have a lot on my todo list. The best I can say in the mean time is that there's usually some dependency in the device tree overlay that requires something in the Linux kernel to be enabled that's not. The "easy" way to figure that out is to boot Raspberry Pi OS with and without the Waveshare 10 to see what kernel modules are loaded.
