I had to install the 'future' package to get this to work. I am running Python 3.8.2 in Ubuntu 20.04 on WSL.

Still works with Python 2 of course.
(Tested with Python 2.7 and Python 3.6.7, OpenCV 4.2, SciPy 1.2.3, NumPy 1.16)
Note: there are many more things that should be done IMO (proper setuptools packaging, including CLI entry-points and dependencies, moving constants to CLI params ...), this is just a first step...
