This issue seems to have cropped up again in Model viewer? The on-the-fly USDZ model again does not support PNG with transparency. Latest ModelViewer referenced from https://unpkg.com/@google/model-viewer/dist/model-viewer.min.js |

Transparency parameter is supported by USDZ format.
Tested with Mac and iOS AR QuickLook, works!
