[Bellazon] Skipped video attachment & attachment video files downloaded with .php extension

I found the video file attachment in the following post was skipped entirely with gallery-dl (when using the thread URL) but works fine when downloading manually:

Also, the video attachments from this other post are downloaded fine but they end up with a .php extension instead of .mp4:

Thanks, those two issues got solved.

Found something new though, on the same thread from this post forward all MP4 videos failed to download with a 404 Not Found error, despite being able to play fine in the browser (embedded):

I fail to see anything different in the code between that one and the previous video which gets downloaded fine.

For the video that fails, the download URL used returns 404 for whatever reason, but the URL in the <source> tag inside <video> works.

At least for the previous video, both links download the same file.

Where did you get this #comment-5317926 link instead of the usual #findComment-5317926 ?

I "made" it myself. It's wacky how there's no way to grab a direct link to a specific post from the page itself (or at least I can't find it) so I looked at the code with the browser's devtools and before the <article> tag of the post there are two tags:

<a id="findComment-5317926"></a>
<div id="comment-5317926"></div>

I just grabbed the id and pasted it with a # at the end of the current URL. The <a> tag seems more appropriate but any elements' id would work too and I just happened to copy the <div>'s id instead this time.

comment-5317926 seems more "canonical" but idk what's happening there.

Edit: in fact, the attribute for the <a> tag should have been name and not id to be a proper anchor.

You can get a link by clicking the post date (July 10, 2021), but only when logged in.

Ahhh, no wonder. It did occur to me, but dismissed it as too basic of a feature to be locked behind a login.

I finally figured out what's happening with #findComment-<id> and #comment-<id>. The forum is using #findComment-<id> links as a way to trigger a thread search to locate the current page where the post is located, which you are then redirected to using a #comment-<id> URL.

You can observe the behavior with this link:

That post is currently located in page 12, so after the redirection you end up in:
