[Feature Request] Passing metadata dict as an argument

I'd like to pass the current metadata dict as an argument for an exec postprocessor when dealing with more complicated tasks (i.e. looping through a list). Perhaps something like {_metadata}?

Turns out there already is a method / workaround to accomplish this, I just didn't realize this before: Use an \fE or \fF format string to call locals() and encode its result as JSON or just print it directly.

Is there a way to mute the log of it passing the metadata dict in verbose mode? I'm interested in everything except that specific portion. Though it is an argument of the command being run, so probably not, but is it possible to truncate it perhaps?

Verbose output, and logging messages in general, go to stderr while the metadata dict output goes to stdout, so you can separate them that way.

You can disable postprocessors with --no-postprocessors or you add a filter and set the value checked by it to disable it using -o keywords.nokwdict=1.

But there is no direct (or really any) way for a postprocessor to detect --verbose mode and change its behavior.

Never mind all of this, I didn't realize you meant the Running ... logging message of the exec poatprocessor. I don't think there is a way to shorten/disable this, but I could add an exec.verbose or exec.debug option to enable/disable it, if that would help.

That sounds great. This might be a bit too granular, but an option to have it only apply to gallery-dl's own verbose logs when handling a postprocessor would make it perfect. It'd allow me to still observe the verbose logs of the postprocessor without the large wall of text from the JSON argument.
