Mangadex: Refresh token?

So I can't seem to refresh the access token with my client and secret ID (#7487) and I don't know hot to get the access or refresh tokens.

Further, trying to get/make a new API token has gotten me this;

Run gallery-dl --clear-cache mangadex and try again with your new API credentials.

That's got it. facepalm

Any way to get that refresh token and hopefully have it not have to do this again? Or is that automatic and I just need to remember to clear the mangade cache next time?

API tokens get stored in your cache file and are supposed to be handled automatically, but it didn't work as intended here. Refresh tokens are set to expire after 90 days, which might be too long.

Hmm, I just checked my own refresh_token and it will, according to its own metadata, expire on 2025-10-08 07:01:00. gallery-dl's cache is set to have its stored value expire on 2025-10-08 07:01:01, so that's OK (or at least good enough) and the token should still be functional.

I'm getting the same AuthenticationError: Session not active error as you though ({"error":"invalid_grant","error_description":"Session not active"}), so maybe MangaDex invalidated its auth tokens and sessions or something to that extend.
